We warmly welcome you to north of the arctic circle to participate in The Arctic Biophysics Meeting on Epigenetics and Chromosome Dynamics.  At the meeting we will bring together scientists — experimental and theoretical — from statistical and polymer physics, molecular biology, and epigenetics to discuss open problems at the interface between physics and biology. To take best advantage the artic surroundings while meeting new people, we will visit the ice hotel, help organise winter activities,  and have dinner at the Aurora Sky Station. As the meeting is a part of a Swedish-Korean exchange program funded by STINT and NRF, we’re happy to host a large crowd of Korean researchers.

Participants, register here. Deadline: December 7th, 2018.

Time and schedule
Preliminary schedule will be posted here. The conference starts on Monday (Jan. 21) 9am and ends with conference dinner on Thursday evening (Jan. 24). For those staying the entire time, we recommend that you arrive on Sunday (Jan 20) and leave on Friday (Jan 25). Please let us know if you want to extend your stay in any direction, and we will try to help you.
Activities
On Tuesday afternoon, we’ll take break from the talks and take a 20 min bus trip to the Ice hotel. Apart from a guided tour and lunch, you will have the opportunity to try out winter activities. However, as these are not covered by the conference fee, you will have to cover these on your own. But we will help you organise them. More information on this will come.
On Thursday afternoon and evening, we will take another bus trip to The Aurora Sky Station in Abisko (about 1h15 min by bus from Kiruna). Once we’re there we get to borrow proper winter gear and get a tour of the premises.  After  dinner,  we will go out to (hopefully) see some northern lights.
Poster session

On Monday evening, we’ll have a welcome reception and poster session.  All participants are encouraged to bring one.
