Workshop: Where Network Theory Meets Ecology
September 17 @ 09:00 - September 21 @ 16:00
Martin Rosvall and his group are hosting researchers Ulf Aslak, Anna Eklöf and Shai Pilosof all week with the aim of identifying specific questions or problems that they want to explore at the interface between network theory and ecology.
During the workshop participants pitch open questions that intrigue them followed by a “yes and…” discussion. The formats of presentations follow open seminar types as well as IceLab Hive Talks.
Topics being covered include socio-ecological networks, interface of interlayer edges for ecological multilayer networks, developing methods for community detection in multilayer networks with bipartite structures within layers, feedback loops in ecological networks, individual and meta ecological networks, predator-prey interactions in the Cenozoic rock record. In addition, several projects are outlined for future development based on the discussions during the week.
